Billy C. Campbell, Jr.

ATTORNEY

Billy is a native of the Mississippi Delta, but practices out of the firm's DeSoto County office.  His primary focus is governmental law and civil litigation.  Billy has served as city attorney to the City of Horn Lake, Mississippi, for over twenty years, counseling officials on a wide range of topics including federal and state law compliance, real and personal property transactions, zoning and land use regulation, contract drafting and negotiation, commercial and residential development projects, issuance of bonds/debt financing, eminent domain, annexation, and litigation/conflict resolution.

Billy is also on the Mississippi Tort Claims Board's Approved Attorney Register, and as such, represents various state agencies in litigation throughout north Mississippi.  Additionally, he has represented other municipalities and counties in defense of federal and state law claims in both federal and state courts.  Billy's practice areas also include public and private construction (with an emphasis on payment bond claims and contractor/materialman liens), insurance defense, probate, and general corporate representation.

Billy is a member of the DeSoto County Bar Association; The Mississippi Bar, including its Government Law section; and the Mississippi Municipal Attorneys Association.  He previously served on the Board of Directors for North Mississippi Rural Legal Services.
