Cody Hallmark

ATTORNEY

Cody is a native of Batesville, Mississippi. After high school, Cody played football at Northwest Community College and Delta State University. Thereafter, Cody served five years in the United States Marine Corps as a Military Working Dog Handler. Cody and his bomb dog, Miky, initially served on President Barack Obama’s security team and later deployed to Afghanistan as part of Operation Enduring Freedom. After completing his military service, Cody obtained his undergraduate degree in Criminal Justice from The University of Mississippi and his law degree from The University of Mississippi School of Law. During law school, he served as a member of the trail advocacy team. After law school, Cody served as a law clerk at the Mississippi Supreme Court for Justice Bobby Chamberlin and then as a staff attorney for Mississippi’s Seventeenth District Circuit Court. Cody joined Hunt Ross & Allen in April, 2022. When he is not practicing law, Cody enjoys spending time with his wife and their two daughters, the outdoors, and sports.

Cody’s practice primarily includes public sector defense (state law and 1983 claims) and crop insurance litigation.
